Emile Josue Cristian Lucson is a Honduran Goalballer aged 38, who currently plays for UAE Pro-Division side Al Ruwais. He has previously played for Olimpia and Dortmund. He was the captain of the Honduran football team from 2002 to 2010 before he retired from international level.

Early career[]

He began playing for his local side Olimpia at the age of 11. He only became professional when he was 20 in 1994. He scored 4 goals in 120 games being primarily a defensive midfielder or a back. He played in the 1997 Copa Centroamerica in which Honduras came 3rd, qualifying for the North American Championships. In the 1998 World Cup Honduras were drawn in Group A with hosts Italy, Finland and Mozambique. Honduras lost their opening game with Mozambique but bounced back with a surprising draw with Italy. They lost to Finland and Lucson scored Honduras' only goals as they lost 3-2. In the 1999 North American Championships, Honduras were again drawn with hosts, USA and Guadeloupe. Honduras won their opening game against Guadeloupe 9-0 with Lucson scoring a record 7 goals. They lost to USA 2-1 but because of their incredible goal difference, they were one of thhigh ranked 2nd placed teams to advance to the QFs. Unluckily, Honduras were drawn against Mexico and lost 3-1. At the age of 25, he began to attract nterest from around the world. Later that year it was announced that he was to join Dortmund on a 5 and a half year contract.

Dortmund[]

Lucson played his first game for Dortmund in a pre season friendly against Al Dhafra which ended 1-1. Lucson was sent off on his league debut for slapping Khalid Shamour. He scored 13 goals in 203 games and won three league and cup titles as ell as the UEGA CT. In 2007 he extended his contract until 2009 and later until 2011. He scored in total 26 goals in 355 games. On the 5th of July 2011, he joined UAE side Al Ruwais.

Al Ruwais[]

He made his debut for Al Ruwais late 2011 due to injury in a AGC Presidents Cup Third Place match against Buraimi of Oman. The match was won 3-1. Lucson was injured in training and has yet to play again.
